Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Master VR Foundations: Demonstrate a clear understanding of VR hardware (e.g., Meta Quest 3) and the software ecosystem required for architectural visualization.
• Execute Technical Workflows: Efficiently import and optimize 3D models from SketchUp or Rhino into a real-time rendering engine, ensuring proper layer organization and "clean" geometry.
• Create Realistic Environments: Apply Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials and configure complex lighting scenarios, including transitions between day and night environments.
• Build Interactive Experiences: Develop a navigable VR scene that includes basic interactivity, such as light switches and animated assets like people and foliage.
• Facilitate Design Narrative: Craft immersive guided tours using camera paths and animations to tell a specific design story.
• Produce Professional Deliverables: Generate a standalone ".EXE" file and a 30-second animated video, allowing clients to experience the design without needing specialized design software.
• Improve Client Communication: Use immersive technology to effectively present design intent and perform spatial validation, reducing the gap between concept and reality.
