Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, the participant will be able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the oral and peri-oral tissues with particular emphasis on endodontic related tissues
• Exhibit an understanding of the etiology pathobiology and clinical presentation of diseases of the oral and peri-oral tissues
• Discuss a general and clinical epidemiology of oral diseases
• Demonstrate knowledge of biomaterial science relevant to endodontics
• Discuss the impact of systemic diseases on oral tissues and of oral disease on systemic health
• Exhibit understanding of the behavioral, clinical and technical procedures involved in the treatment of patients requiring endodontic care
• Communicate individually with patients and other professionals and in general educational and professional settings
