Course Description

The aim of the course is to enable dental professionals to acquire advanced skills and knowledge in the field of Restorative Dentistry (Periodontics, Endodontics, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics) and thus apply for different Specialty Examinations offered by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, the participant will be able to:

Acquire the requested knowledge and understanding
Demonstrate an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the oral and peri-oral tissues with particular emphasis on the periodontal tissues.
Exhibit an understanding of the etiology pathobiology and clinical presentation of diseases of the oral and peri-oral tissues
Demonstrate knowledge of the general and clinical epidemiology of oral diseases
Exhibit an understanding of biomaterial science relevant to Periodontics
