Course Description

This module equips learners with tools to manage weight-related conditions, including obesity, overweight, underweight, and malnutrition. Emphasis is placed on personalized care, behavioral change strategies, and evidence-based interventions.

Course Objective

  • Master the ability to assess body composition and metabolic health to accurately determine risk profiles. They will then use this data to formulate personalized, evidence-based care plans for specific conditions like obesity, underweight, and malnutrition.
  • Manage both overweight/obesity and underweight/malnutrition. A critical component involves applying behavioral change strategies for sustainable, long-term adherence.
  • Recognize and appropriately address eating disorders through counseling and referral. Learners will also learn to design comprehensive weight maintenance programs to ensure the long-term success of any initial weight management intervention.
